Natural Ways to Assist My Anxiety 🍀

Anxiety is becoming more and more common in this modern world. According to the World Health Organisation, as many as 1 in 13 people struggle with some form of Anxiety Disorder worldwide. Throw in everything that happened last year and it's no wonder that many of us are out there googling ways to assist us to manage our feelings of Anxiety.

What is an Anxiety Disorder? Well according to mayo.com,

" A mental health disorder characterized by feelings of worry, anxiety or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities.

Examples of anxiety disorders include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Symptoms include stress that's out of proportion to the impact of the event, inability to set aside a worry, and restlessness. Treatment includes counseling or medication, including antidepressants."

I, myself, have struggled with anxiety for many years. And it was while I was searching for something similar to the above that I came across CBD and some other natural products and tricks that I use to assist me to manage my Anxiety.

CBD

I started using CBD Oil daily back before it skyrocketed to mega-stardom and I can honestly sing its praises for several reasons. I wanted to take the edge off my Anxiety while still feeling like myself. I found it works quickly and helps me feel calmer without feeling like I'm on something. Thankfully there are now many ways to get your daily dose of CBD and it's become way more affordable as well.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils are a great smelling way to assist with Anxiety and several other health concerns. I wear a Diffuser Necklace every day and experiment with different blends depending on my mood. Some goods ones to try for Anxiety are Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Lavender, and Bergamot.

Green Tea

Green Tea contains an amino acid called

L-Theanine. This amino acid has been shown to increase dopamine and serotonin production in the brain. These two brain chemicals help you to feel calmer. Just be careful if caffeine is something that sends your Anxiety through the roof as Green Tea does contain it. There are supplement options out there that contain very little caffeine, like our Tegreen capsules.

Magnesium

Magnesium deficiency can be a contributing factor to your Anxiety. And thanks to modern farming methods our food just doesn't contain as much magnesium as it used to. Supplementing with Magnesium daily is a good idea. When I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed I love to soak in a warm bath filled with Epsom Salts and other Essential Oils.

Gut Health

Your gut is your second brain after all and needs to be fed good bacteria daily. If your gut is compromised, you can end up with all sorts of health issues. I've just found that I feel better when I'm taking a good Pre and Probiotic!

Exercise

It would be irresponsible for me not to throw this one into the mix. Exercise is a great way to improve your mood and spending time outside in the fresh air on a walk is a good idea if you feel like you're spending too much time in your head. I've often felt much better after a good stroll around the block with my dogs.

I truly hope this may assist on your journey to feeling better and that I've given you some good ideas on what to try. At healthloveza we also stock some of the products mentioned in this article so please pop on over to the shop section and have a look.
